You can only protest the person in front of you. For example, if you’re in third place and want to protest first place you’ll have to protest second place first.

The protest (written, signed, and accompanied by the appropriate fee) must be presented to the Fairgrounds Raceway Tech inspector within five (5) minutes of the completion of the race event. If the driver exits the raceway before filing protest or claim, there will be no claim or protest allowed.

To protest you must bring money in hand to the tech man WITHIN 5 minutes of the race.

Money will only be given back to those affected by the protest or claim after an official determination is made. No exceptions.

Drivers are allowed to counter protest for the same amount of money.

If a driver refuses to protest, they will be disqualified for the night. Losing all points and money for the night, and will not be able to protest against another car for the remainder of the season.

Once protest money has been paid, protest cannot be withdrawn, only disallowed by an official. All protest decisions will be made by track officials and are final. Track officials have the authority to hold protested parts, for further evaluation and testing, for two business days, before making a decision. If a decision cannot be made immediately, payoff for that class will not be made until the next week’s event.

Safety chains must remain securely fastened on the front and rear of the car at all times or you will be immediately disqualified.

Competitors must present cars for inspection prior to participating in any racing event. A pre-race inspection will be made ONLY to ensure safety protocols have been adhered to. Legality will be determined in post-race inspection. Fairgrounds Raceway has final ruling on all questions of legality.
